Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. We use Firebase Authentication to manage accounts securely.
Profile Information: You may optionally provide a profile picture, age, gender, country, English level, interests, and bio. This information is stored in Firebase Realtime Database and is visible to other users you chat with.
Chat Messages: All messages you send and receive are stored on Firebase Realtime Database to provide real-time messaging functionality.
Online Status: We collect and display your online/offline status and last-seen timestamp to other users.
Typing Indicators: We temporarily indicate when you are typing a message to the person you are conversing with.

Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) servers. Firebase provides encryption at rest and in transit. We implement reasonable security measures, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

You can delete individual messages you have sent by long-pressing them in the chat. To delete your entire account and associated data, please contact us at the email below.
eDiscuss is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
